I am looking for Ph.D. and M.S. students (電信甲) who are motivated to do theoretical research, especially in coding and information theory, quantum computation, and quantum cryptography. Students with backgrounds in Electrical engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Physics are all welcome. If you are interested, please send me an email.

Postdoctoral positions are available. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Physics/ Electrical engineering/ Computer science/ Mathematics.
You will be working on one of the projects on quantum error-correcting codes, fault-tolerant quantum computation, quantun cryptography, experimental research with neutral atoms.

  • Interested in theoretical research
  • With background in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Disciplined in math and logical thinkings
  • Self-motivated
  • Equipped with basic skills in programming (C/C++/Python/MATLAB/MAPLE/Mathematica)
  • Roughly familiar with my research directions

Requirements for Graduation

  • Efforts. It takes roughly 2-3 years for a student to be well prepared in theoretical research.
  • Self-motivated. You are mostly on your own.
  • Attendence of regular group meeting every week.
  • Scheduled personal meetings if necessary.
  • Discussions with group members.
  • Surveys on over 30+ research papers.
